Welcome readers, fellow book lovers and the curious. You’ve found my virtual office on the web, and I can guarantee you it is probably cleaner than the one I’m sitting in at this very moment, typing away. In my virtual office, there are no stacks of research books piled high, half-drunk mugs of cold Assam tea or paperwork: just fun links, a lot of information and an introduction to the writer’s mind. Have at, and enjoy!

I've just found out that A Vampire's Mistress will be coming out in April from Silhouette Nocturne. Originally the novella was going to be out in Oct. So it's here early! I'm also excited that Salvation of the Damned got a 4.75 out of 5 Top Pick review from Night Owl Reviews and Long and Short Of It Reviews gives it 4.5 books!!
I'll be in Portland, Oregon, on April 17th with a vampire basket of goodies to visit with readers at the Rose City Romance Writers Annual Readers Luncheon. If you happen to be around you might want to drop by. I hear it's an amazing event! If you don't get the Romance Writers Report from Romance Writers of America, and would like to get your hands on a copy of lecture packet on Author Branding Basics mentioned by editor Deb Werksman at Casablanca Authors blog you can order it directly by emailing me on the contact page. I only teach the class once a year online, but the packet is available anytime. I'm working to have that lecture and several others I've given online classes for available on this site soon in the Extras section.
It's a new year, a new decade! So how about a party? Mardi Gras gets underway Jan. 6th and runs through Feb. 16th, 2010. My first Nocturne Bite, Salvation of the Damned is actually set during Mardi Gras, so it has a special place in my heart. Okay, that and king cake. So I'm going to celebrate!
Salvation of the Damned gets great review at Seriously Reviewed, check it out!
In other news, I finished up and turned in three more vampire books to Nocturne before the end of the year and I'm working on more. I'm also going to be giving some writing workshops online in 2010.

Here in the next month there are a few different events happening in Seattle that I'm planning on attending. The first, I always attend, is the Emerald City Writers' Conference, Oct. 9-12, 2009 presented by the Greater Seattle Chapter of Romance Writers of America. There'll be a fabulous book signing with dozens of authors on Saturday night at the Bellevue Hilton. You can check out their website for details at www.gsrwa.org. The next event I'm attending is the first SteamCon in Seattle Oct. 23-25, 2009. If you like H.G. Wells book Time Machine or enjoyed a movie like Wild Wild West, then you just might be interested in Steam Punk. This is a conference dedicated to all things Steam Punk from fashion and inventions to dance and history. In addition to paranormal romance, I also am writing on a Steam Punk at the moment, which is why this looks like it could be fun. If you happen to be around one of these events, I'd love to see you there!
You have to love a birthday when you sell a book! But I was luckier than that this month. I actually sold three books (two full length books and one novella) to Silhouette Nocturne — Harlequin's paranormal romance line. Guess my editor liked Salvation of the Damned enough to give Unveiling of the Damned and Enemy of the Damned a try! (Yes—they are more vampire romance books.) So I've got to get writing!
I promised that I wasn’t fooling around! Today I’d like to announce the two winners for my month long blog tour contest. If you commented on one of the blogs I was at, like Vampire Wire, Patricia’s Vampire Notes, the Harlequin Paranormal Romance Blog, or Make Believe Mondays, you were entered to win.
The two winners are: Kim Giardna who’ll be getting both a $20 gift certificate to Wicked Wines Online (where she can indulge in either red Vampire Vodka or other Vampire Winery offerings) and a copy of Salvation of the Damned.
MelJPrincess, you’ve won those snazzy customizable chrome fangs and a copy of Salvation of the Damned.
Congratuations to you both!
I'm celebrating the release of my book Salvation of the Damned with a whole new website! Take a look around the Extras page to find links to all kinds of how-to's, recipes, videos, interviews, frequently asked questions and more. And to further celebrate, any one who comments on the blogs I'm guest blogging on during March will be entered to win a set of customizable chrome fangs, a gift certificate to Wicked Wines Online (makers of Vampyre Vodka and Vampyre Wines) or a copy of Salvation of the Damned. Winners will be announced April 1, 2009 (and no, I'm not joking.)
Here's your sneak peak at my latest book, Salvation of the Damned, that will be out in March, 1 2009! It's a novella, which means you can indulge in it on your lunch break!

Ever wonder why you hear about vampires that are hundreds of years old, but never thousands? Find out why. You'll be able to download it straight from Harlequin/Silhouette at www.nocturnebites.com and read it on your computer, kindle, iphone or PDA on March 1, 2009.
